We would like to share some exciting news:
our traditional Fall Picnic 2026
will take place on September 12.
This year, the picnic is dedicated to the
World Nomad Games,
and the traditional games of our ancestors await you, including Kok-Boru, Arkan Tartysh, Jaa Atuu, Uukchu, and more.
We will spend this day
with fun, friendship, and unforgettable memories!
Shyrdak Masterclass
Nature Had other Plans, but Nomad Spirit Prevailed
Yesterday (June 20th), we were supposed to
host an open-air Shyrdak masterclass at Auburn Bay Lake. Instead, we got hit with heavy rain, hail, and intense wind that completely messed up our plans.
But Nomad Spirit Prevailed!
When the sun finally broke through, we made every second count.
Shyrdak is in the DNA of the Kyrgyz people.
For thousands of years, Kyrgyz women gathered to create these rugs, finding unity and overcoming hardships together. Our ancestors shifted lands,
survived regimes, and adapted to different faiths. Empires changed, but the Shyrdak and its sacred patterns remained permanent.
Yesterday was a beautiful reminder of that exact resilience and togetherness!
